OK, I'm a complete flashlight newbie. Almost complete: I have a bunch of lights, from Maglights to vintage 2 & 3 cell SFs to modern cheapo LED lights and halogens.

In the following price brackets, what're good candidates for the best <font color="red"> LED </font> light:

Under $5
Under $10
Under $20
Under $50
Under $100
Unlimited $$$

Re: NEWBIE: Best LED flashlight at a given price r

although i'm another "newbie" with limited LED experience, here is my 2 cents...

Under $100 - Elektrolumens TriStar Phazer (really $119) but a real kick *** flood light with decent throw!!

Under $50 - Nuwai Q III (cant remember the price I paid, but it's a very well made 1 x 123 3 Watt LED light)

My wife is visiting her sis in the US and picked me up the KL7 for $116 USD from SureFire. I already have the SF 8AX. Cant wait to try the KL7!! Hope it throws just as well, if not better, than the L5 or even L6. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/santa.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/popcorn.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/popcorn.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/santa.gif
