Type of \"glue\" used to hold emitter to LSL ?

Epoxy ?
Conductive silicon rubber ?

Was definitely stuck to the heatsink, BUT the compound was soft. Not like epoxy.
What type of adhesive should be used when replacing the LED ?
Thanks !

We use a thermal epoxy. The people who make Artic silver (etc) have several good types of thermal epoxy and I think you can order it in small tubes from their website.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/huh2.gif I'm little confused. I've replaced the emitters on two units and both were attched with a white greasy like compound. I used a heat transfer grease often used on computers and the like.

I would rather have thermal grease/paste instead of epoxy. Epoxy makes life harder when it comes to replacing the emitter. All LSx series I have are thermal grease.
