Is Artic Alumina a thermal grease? If not, what is? What are others?

I have some Artic Silver II laying around from my overclocking days. Is that a thermal grease?

Arctic Silver 3 would probably be about optimum, i use AS5 on my athlon64 but for these applications would probably use AS2 or AS3 for lights.

That thermal grease also works well for thermal contact in modified flashlights.
"Contact", or "bulb" grease is good for getting max performance out of your lights when applied to ALL electrical contacts.

I have a 4d 3x3watt light with thermal grease under it's heatsink to magg body.
I then put Automotive "bulb" contact grease on all electrical contacts I could find.
That boosted it's current consumption (more light) from 2.67 amps to 3.10 amps with well rested Supreme Power 9000mah D cell nimhs. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/str.gif
