Hi,
Wonder if this is the correct place to post. Does anyone care to share regarding where to purchase a Li 14430 and how much would it cost. Thanks.

An Li14430 was auctioned for $338? That was a bargain. But I thought the auctioned light was an LL CR2. An Li14430 would have gone for a lot more.

the CR2 was a different auction, which i proudly lost, but earned the 'supporter' tag in my name for thowing some cash into the pool.

Darn, I missed it then. (Not that I had the 338 bucks). Seriously though, I've seen a 14430 and the amount of work and attention to detail that went into it is astounding. It's much more complex than something like a Firefly. Even if somebody did a production run of them, they'd probably have to sell for more than $338. I'm amazed that the bidding didn't go higher. Maybe CPF auction fatigue is setting in. Anyway, whoever snagged it, got a real bargain.

Li14430 state of the art in 2004 and my EDC.

When dougS' dual circuits makes it into CRC II, then the crown may pass on.

Every time I pick this little light up, I'm amazed at the craftsmanship that went into it. Evarything is just so well thought out and it's put together like a fine watch. I'll be glad when the kydex sheath shows up from Chrisse so I can carry it without worrying about messing up the finish!

With a chopped s017xa reflector (mod), I am sure happy to brag about my Li14430!! I am also real grateful to be the recipient of DougS, Larry and Mike's great collaboration!!

Don, WOW, DougS has been telling me about the SO17 reflector mod you did on a Li14430.

I've got a spare Li14430 reflector version board, but no spare head. Sounds like major surgery involved.

Cy,

What's the difference bewteen the two? Looks like the one on right is shorter. CR2? Flavio

Please note the smaller light is a one off CR2 light modded for me by Larry. The body is a highly modded Arc AA body with a CR2 II head. Larry installed a two stage switch in base of body.

I would love to take apart the head, but I've been warned Larry uses a super clear (top secret) fluid to reduce transmission loss between optic and lens.

I've been driving the smaller light (have not named light yet) with a CR2 li-ion cell.

Li14430 puts out more light, due to the larger load supported by a 700 milliamp 14430 cell VS the smaller 500 milliamp CR2 li-ion cell. But output is very close.

I have to consult with dougS, but we may have a new output per cubic inch king. I believe Klause may have already put a CR2 li-ion cell in his CR2 II. but this possibly may be first using a two stage head with CR2 body.

What's neat is taking the Li14430's two stage head and putting it on the CR2 body w/switch. You have a distinct three stage light.

This combo may possibly be the new state of art for small lights.
