I have shortened this new black 3D M*g to size of 1D and rebored inside to accomodate this 4AA to D battery adapter.
Use 4 alkaline or NiMH batteries to overdrive 3 cell original bulb or modify to 3 watter. (extra bulb inside tail cap).
