We had been watching the reports of Ivan in Florida and thought we were lucky to be in Virginia. Well, what was left of Ivan passed through, spawning a tornado that went through my property. Several dozens of 100 year old trees gone, and a few tons of hard wood took down my shed (with the truck and trailer in it). Luckily the house was spared. Anyway, no power for 2 days. I grab my LSH, AAA, and AA. Great lights. Helped us get some of the trees out of a neighbors driveway who had been trapped by the storm. Used it in the driving rain while we worked.

My wife now seems to understand why I spent the money I did on these lights. All the other flashlights we had did not hold a candle to the ARCs /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Now I wish I could get the ARC 5 but it looks like I'll be investing in chain saws and tree surgeons for some time to come. So where is it safe anyway? Montana maybe?

Ever been in a serious blizzard? or had bad sunburn? There's something everywhere!

Kidding aside, glad you and family and neighbors OK.
