Forgot to mention, I was looking at the bare alu twisty switch. They work without Kroll right? TSP is meant to have Kroll fitted? I got slightly confused.
cheers

X33 you probably need the medium version for LSH series. Some of the early first runs had a flat board and needed the high version of the twisty.

I don't have any of the high versions to sell. A blob of solder can be built up, crushed aluminum works well or drill/tap a stainless screw like firefly.

Yes you have it correct twisty is all you need, whereas TSP will need a kroll.

I would like 1 HA twisty. I have a new LSH-P on the way, I assume I need a medium one???

Sorry, nevermind I thought those were HA twisties /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif , Those require switches.

These are bare aluminum 123 twistys and HA TSP no kroll. They both will fit LSH-P. The twisty is the slim version.

I purchased a LSH-P from pocketlights.com a couple of days ago. I would like a HA twisty.

Thanks,

Cy, i just tried a 123 twistie that came with my first rin, not installed on it but just part of a package of stuff i boiught from somebody, It doesnt work unless i put some foil in the bottom so, i assume that means i have 2 of the "fat" twisties?

Re: F/S Arc 123 TSP , bare aluminum Arc 123 twisty

Hallis, first runs came with several different boards. early ones had a flat contact VS a raised contact with hybrid boards.

Also ARC first runs had a larger diameter than LSH series. You can use smaller diameter twistys on first runs, if you can make proper contact.

You can make proper contact by:

1. adding blob of solder on contact board
2. add crushed aluminum foil on base of twisty
3. drill & tap stainless screw like firefly's contact.
4. add a two stage switch, which require more space.
5. replace batt if base is concaved.

TSP's had more tolarance due to spring on kroll. TSP would work with all Arc LS versions with no problems.

One drawback of twistys is possiblity of overtorquing and crushing board/luxeon base. I almost never loan out my LSH-P with 123 twisty.

The small bodied ARC LS series w/small 123 twisty is still one of the best EDC packages around. Certainly proven the tuffest by the test of time.
