Paypal questions

I know it has been explained on the threads before but I cant seem to find it.

Could some explain or link to an explanation on why paypal charges an extra fee if I pay someone using a credit card funded account?

Yes, sellers have to pay a fee to the credit card company when the buyer uses a credit card. I believe it used to be around 5%. Probably still is.

My brother used to have a business in NY state. It seems the slimeballs we elect to the NY state government passed a law forbidding sellers from charging more when buyers used credit cards. My brother found a solution. He posted a large sign on the wall that said "5% discount for cash".

The slimeballs can't outlaw discounts because the fools that elect them like discounts.
