ARC vs HDS

the sad demise of ARC LLC has left me pondering my next flashlight purchase. was saving up for the Arc5. oh well... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

anyways came across the hds systems website, and on the surface, their edc series lights look very similar to the Arc4.

im not familiar with hds

anybody have direct experience with both? please share your thoughts

please do a search and you will find 4 or 5 current threads on it easily. the hds light is not out yet, so all you have to compare are specs for now.

HDS are the makers of very high quality headlamps designed for
caving, they are noted for their reliability in such environments. I am keen to see the release of the HDS, it seems to be more advanced than the ARC4, with the main problem engineered out. Release is said to be soon.
