Reminds me of a story about another brand of HD (no names, of course).

Someone I knew had one fail on him as all HDs occasionally do, so he made a remark "Stick a dead fish in your computer, you have a better chance of getting your data back." hehe, very funny.. whatever.

Until another HD (same brand) went out on someone else, who removed the HD from the computer and saw a small stylized image of a fish on the PCB. THE PROPHECY IS TRUE!!

I myself had to respond to an incident where a dead disk from that brand knocked out a critical server because they were too cheap to put in RAID, and the other admin whom I was working with turned the dead disk over.. and saw the words "FISH-M16".

Not only is the prophecy true, I think the fish is armed.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
