do you have to fill out and send in the card that comes with you light to have a valid waranty on the a light or is it mainly for their "information" so to speak. the reason i ask is that if you were to purchase a light from someone who has already sent the card in will you be able to file a warant claim with surefire or will it be void since you are not the original owner? thanks in advance /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

surefire has a no-questions-asked policy, i.e., as long as you got that light, they'll fix it for you regardless of if the light is registered in your name (or at all, for that matter). i had my A2 looked at and they turned it around within 5 days, including shipping, and never asked me for any proof of purchase. I trust Surefire with my lights.

Surefire does not need us to send in the card. I sent my KL3 quite some time back and there was no need for me to prove my purchase but of course, the KL3 does not come with a card anyway.
