I handled one at the Army Surplus store up the street, and the light is about two-thirds as long as an ARC AAA and the white bulb is dim, dim, dim. Wouldn't spend my hard-earned cash on it. Nice idea, poorly executed.

No that's what I thought it looked like when I first saw it an ARC mounted to a knife but the threaded area of an ARC is much larger diameter.

Oops, I have a minimum (five) on order from a distributor I get knives through, $29.00 shipped, sure hope it's not that dim!

The knives themselves are made in Seki City (same as Spyderco) so I know at least the blades will likely be first-rate. But then what do they know about LEDs?

Oh well, they'll make good X'mas presents at work if nothing else...

Let's put it this way. I said to the sales guy, "Which is brighter?" First I flashed the knife light at him (no reaction), then I flashed my 3 year old Photon II at him, he squints ("Whoa, that's bright!" he says). Maybe the knife light batteries were low, but...
