Looks neat, but their prices are astronomical. I don't see anything on their site that justifies $77 or $85 for a modified 3D maglite.

Neither do I, Idleprocess.
I got a 2 headed snow (white) and UV 7 LED high outout on each end for only $55 from PEAK. Brass too- it won't corrode. Very good quality for 1/3 the cost (Plus a white light). Much smaller too. 123 powered.

I don't have a night vision device so I have no use as of yet for IR.

I must say a UV flashlight that is small has some cool applications.

A xenopus is actually a (sometimes) large African frog (or toad, I'm not sure). Noteworthy among HP Lovecraft fans as being the "model" for many of the illustrations of Great Cthuhlu. But I'm still not sure why someone would name their company that...

As the white goes, there are far more cheaper, higher performance mods you can get.

3D/4D Maglite - $25 (unless you get a price break)
3W Luxeon - $15
Hotlips heatsink - $18
Resistor - $0.20
Ultra Clear Lens - $7

The satisfaction of running your own hand-built resistored/DD Maglite.. you decide /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
