Are they open? I would check myself but is buried in work, this is the only place I check in during work. My office is now on a seven day workweek due to firings and transfers, that forgot to tell personel that we were going to be understaffed. Well, if anyone can post that would be nice.

Jon, it's a Federal Holiday so the Post Offices will be closed. All the banks I've ever done business with are closed on Columbus Day.

Our "main post office", out by our airport is open 24/7...getting ready to go mail a couple packages to CPF members now. It's handy!

8 holidays are a bit short, but not unusual for a delivery company (UPS is not government anymore). Some businesses never close and it is common for restuarants for example, to have only one or two holidays (not Thanksgiving, often not Christmas) since they do a great deal of business on holidays. Most federal institutions have 11 days (known as government holidays) and most businesses have 10-12. The one the government doesn't have is Good Friday.
