Is it possible to bore out an Surefire A2, so that 18650 LiIon cells could fit in there? It should have an inner diameter of about 18,5 mm (0,728 inch).

How much voltage does the A2 need to run regulated?

I don´t know what voltage is needed, but a single LiIon is not sufficient.
I can´t find my A2 at the moment, so i have to check later
if there is enough meat for boring out.

What about to fit 17670 li-ion cells without any boring?

I don't know the voltage too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

This has been visited many times over. The A2 cannot accomodate any sort of protect Li-ion cell. You also can't bore it because there isn't enough meat there. You MAY be able to get bare li-ons cells in there, but I would consider that to be a risky proposition.

I've gotta tell ya, more than one A2 have its life to advance this cause, and it turned out to be for nothing.

If you guys come up with something, let me know.
