Cmg/Gerber sonic vs DorcyAAA??

Was at my local target today and saw a Gerber tool with sonic combo. I really like the looks of the sonic and went in target to buy a DorcyAAA but they were all out.

Which is more brighter? Better etc?

What say you?

I've read quite a few great reviews of the Sonic, the only typical Con to the thing is that it looks like a dog's second tail... if you know what I mean.

Other than that small matter, sonic is a superior light.

The Dorcy is probably a bit brighter with a much wider flood. The Sonic by design produces a narrow beam. Quality of construction is about the same with the Sonic getting the edge if any. Both operate the same with easy turning tail switches. The Dorcy has a momentary button.

I like both lights. The Sonic is more pocketable, but 2-3 times more expensive. However, I think it can be had for as little as $9.50 plus shipping from Texas Tactical Supply. My advice is buy both./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif

I just saw the gerber tool sonic combo at target. I believe the sonic included in the new updated version. (It dosen't look as much like a dogs third tail!)
