Ok, so myself and a few friends went camping this weekend. Our campsite was on the very edge of a large lake, approx 15000 acres. Well on the first night we were there, we were shining our Vector 2.5M CP spots across the Lake. Obviously they wouldnt make it all the way across, we estimate it at around 1-1.5 miles across, but you would for sure see our spots from the other side. After we got done shining around lights across for the heck of it, we set them down, and sat under the stars(it was around 9PM when we were doing this, very dark outside) for a few seconds, then... We saw this extremely bright flash, looked up and saw a bright, green beam of light pointing at us. It was moving in quick short movements. It seemed to be a machine moving it almost, cause it would move slightly then suddenly stop, move slightly then suddenly stop again...very quick short movements. After it stopped, we shined back, and it did as well. Same kinds of movements. As far as what the beam looked like, it was a very tight beam, but very wide. Once it was to us, it was still bright enough that it lit up a 10ft diamter circle of light, and it would be bright enough to read something on a paper. From the source, whatever it was, it was already a wide pattern. We were thinking it was a flashlight at first, but, due to the distance from land on the other side, it was too bright still, and not spread out enough. While we couldnt tell if it was coming from a boat, and not that far out there, the next night, Saturday night, we were signaled again from them after we signaled them, and it was in the same place, same light. After thinking about it some, it began looking like it may have been a green laser, cause you could also see the beam all the way across the lake. It was truly an incredible light, whatever it was. Could it have been a laser producing such a wide beam? Any questions to help you decide, Do Ask...
