I might buy a few because they look pretty nice and from the reviews i read, some give nice output. can someone give a few of their opinions about the AA series and the CR123As series?

I have this one: http://www.peakledsolutions.net/CR123DE_7LED.html

Works nice, Has 2 colors, Double headed. I have snow ( a real nice warmer white) and UV in Brass. I like it. It is small and carries in a MiniMag holder. Only $60 fore high output model. Brass polish makes it shine like Gold...

Hello Mags Suk,

I got a HA AA high power with 5 snow LED's and liked it so much I ordered another one in brass.

I like the beam tint of the snow LED's.
I like the beam. It is wider than a spot, but not a flood. I find the beam very useful. It is too bright to read comfortably in a dark room, but I have an AAA for that.
I like the size. It fits my hand very well.
I like the finish.
I like the removable tail cap.

Overall, I think it is a good value.

i just got my snow 5 led today
it's a bit longer (bad) than i expected but also a bit thiner (good)
the finish is excellent and i do like the fine diamond knurling
i agree that the light is bit more spot than flood
overall a very fine light

Did I read that the high power Peaks are still not considered to be over-driven? This strikes me as good in theory anyway, if tint and efficiency are consistantly better.

Peak has good customer service, why don't you use it and return the light for exchange because it sounds like you got a dud.

Gandalf,

If you want to get a decent Peak light, you should contact them and I am sure that they will take care of you quite nicely.

If you just want to complain, you will let CPFers know about it, but not take any action to correct the problem.
