I will provide the maglite to be modded as I will need to decide maglite color when and if I can find someone who can accomplish this modification. Anyone up to it? Price?

I don't know if it helps, but I think Electrolumens has a thread about a single D cell luxeon light. I haven't kept up on it. They also sell a light that uses three AA batteries in a D cell holder that drops into thier blaster jr flashlight.
