Hi everyone,

With the availability of the new Eveready AAA lithiums,
I was wondering how safe it would be to use them in my AAA's and AA's. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have these lights in my emergency kits, and would like to store and use lithiums in them. They have a great shelf life. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'd hate to try them in the Arc's and burn them out. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I have them in some other LED lights, but they aren't near as expensive.

Thanks for your input. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

using lithiums in ARC AA is the bomb!

I EDC my ARC AA w/neck lanyard. the reduction is weight makes a huge difference.

The runtime w/reg alk is 10+ hours, so an increase in runtime is not a factor. but if you are EDC ARC AA, the weight is

My Arc-AA with alkalines is semi-regulated as specified. But with Lithiums it runs in PERFECT regulation for 10.5 hours.
I imagine the AAA would give similar results, although I haven't tested it yet.

I have been using lithium AAAs in my ARC - P with no problems at all. I have done no run tests.

Not only do I recommend using the Energizer E2 Lithium in both your AA and AAA, you can see the benefit.

Battery Specialist for $8.99 per 4 pack with *free shipping*
is a great deal. They must have just got them in. I have been checking their site for 2 weeks and all they had on hand was the 2 packs. I did find some at my local Walgreens for 9.99 a 4 pack. I didn't think that was too bad for a local pickup price.

EchoSierraTwo, I would double check the price from www.business-supply.com. If you read their ad, it's really hard to say if you are getting 3 - 2 packs for a total of 6 batteries or just 1 - 2 pack. The item number is the same as a 2 pack, L92BP-2 if you look close. I bet that the 6/pk just means there is 6 packs in a case. The list price they have advertised also doesn't seem correct.

I'd just double check..............

I use the new lith AAAs in my Arcs, and they perform very well. Due to the usage pattern of these lights in keychain carry, I wouldn't use anything else now.

The wonderful thing about lithium batteries is, they don't get weak when they're really cold.

I've spent hours during some long winter snow-camping nights trying to read, or write using my PDA, and having to interrup to warm up the batteries all too often -- lithium cells are going to help a LOT.
