Anyone tried one of these? They can be found ..... here.

Just wondering if they would be worth the $8.99?

I cannot see what type of LED is in it but I figure it is a single 5mm with a resistor and I have seen places you can order those for as cheap as 2.00 with 1 or 2 5mm LEDS or 3 3mm LEDs for a little more I think. Or you could be adventureous and break a pr2 bulb, and mod it for an LED/resistor for cheap.

I can't tell what type of LED that is either, but it could have a ground-down top to work with the flashlight's reflector. My Koehler-Bright Star 4xAA Headlamp uses an LED blub like this. Let's see if I can dig up a page for that...BRB...there it is... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I see I never got that rated...better take care of that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
