LS sammie mod

I bought two of these empty bodies from CY a while back. When I bought them I knew full well that I would have to come up with a way to install and use readily available sammies in them. So I pondered and read posts here on various threads. CY posted his intentions to make and sell a kit to modify LS's in this fashion. I just couldn't wait. So I took a few measurements and had a friend of mine with a lathe to make me two of these lovely heatsinks. The picture doesn't show it very well but the heatsinks are threaded on the outside to fit the LS head. I've gathered all the bits I'll need except for the MM+ wide open (in transit) from the Shoppe, and the O-rings for the lens cavity. The twisty's have already been machined out deeper by CY.


So once I get those ramaining bits I'll have a couple of rather bright LS's. Well sort of LS's.
