Well, I just got my samples of these LED's from Marktech. Although they are larger then expected, they look nice. Running off 2 AAA batteries with a dropping resistor of 5.1 ohm it was pulling 130mA. WOW /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drool.gif these are bright. Looks like a true 180 degree viewing angle.. Craig has to get some samples of these and review them. A NX-05 optic fits right on it with a bit of sidespill, raised a mm it gives a nice tight spot. the yellow is more yellow then amber, and the red is red, not red/orange. The surface mount aspect would make it a bit harder to mount, but a piece if copper clad board with 1 split would make a nice connection point and heat sink. I will try to post some pics.
