I recently heard that Fraen is releasing a series of lenses for the new Osram Golden Dragon LED. Has anyone tested these lenses? I'm expected to get some samples later this month.

Noone seems too terribly excited about the Osram Golden Dragon - probably because of the relatively low efficiency.
It's good to see that someone is at least challenging Lumileds with a SMD part - even though it's inconvenient for some hobbyists such as myself to work with SMD.
It's disappointing that we've not seen optics tailored for Nichia's Jupiter and Sirius parts (as well as more of said parts).

Well hopefully maybe Fraen will come out with optics for the Nichia and Sirius line of LEDs. I'v been very happy with the LP optic for Luxeon.
Speaking of Fraen LP, I heard from my Future contact that they will be releasing a low profile Tri-lens sometime in Jan. I'm getting a sample sent to me later this month.
