This one of those mods that were sold on E-bay some time ago. HA bezel cap, and the rest is bare aluminum including the twist batt pack. Nice, white high dome, can't recall the exact bin. I stuck in a Fraen for a much improved, and really nice looking beam. $60 shipped to US only, Paypal CC accepted...thanks for looking.

Does this take, and run ok on a single AA, using, of course, an AA body.

Well, I'm fresh out of AA bodies, but I awkwardly stuck a AA batt in the 123 pack and jumpered it to the body. Lit up OK and seemed fairly bright, about like an early LS on a single AA. These things have really strong regulation. They run a long time at very steady brightness, then 'blink', quite dim very suddenly. Not much of a curve to it.
