The 'normal' EverLED is a side emitter. I think all the color LED ones are side emitters. I don't think there is a batwing version. Lamerbtian is a high dome, more focued hotspot, less flood. The reverse polarity also a side emitter and is for lights that have the 'reversed' wiring so that the negative contact touches the base of the Everled. That's common in many lantern.

Sinjz is exactly right. There currently are Side Emitter and Lambertian versions of the EverLED. The "Classic" EverLED has a Luxeon I side emitting LED allowing it to preserve the focusability of the reflector. The Lambertian EverLED, which is now available in Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and TEAL!!!, uses a Lambertian Luxeon I LED and produces a very tight "spot" but that's pretty much all you get. The Reverse Polarity "Diamond" EverLED is for some of the flashlights that have "reversed" the wiring inside them. Lanterns, and headlamps are a few examples of where a Diamond EveLED could be of benefit.
