im eagerly waiting for my longbow, and have already received my UCL lens and SO17XA reflector from flashlightlens. (KUDOS to flashlightlens!!!!)

i REALLY like this little reflector! tested it with BB400/lux 3, MMlite 1w HD.

something i noticed, is that the reflector fits over the led snugly. this is fine for the longbow.

however, i am thinking of ordering some more of these reflectors for my minimags. i like to be able to de-focus the reflector, but do not think the tight fit of the SO17XA will allow this.

1. can i slightly enlarge the hole in the reflector?
2. if so, how will the reflector be held securely in place within the minimag, thus allowing it to be safely de/re focused (the reflector will need to be anchored to the head)?

thanks,
Bob

Bob, the use of a o-ring should allow you to do what you want. It will hold the reflector in place.

I thought the SO20XA was the one you use with a minimag. I've been thinking of getting one for my MM but I hear you have to shorten them by 2mm or so to get them to fit. I'm not sure what the best method is to do that.
