I was at academy sports and came across a garrity 4 led lantern that uses 3xC batteries (included) it was on the wrong peg and said 9.99 so I went and had it scanned.... about 25.00... ugh... another gimmick light IMO. The Smith and Wesson (I believe this was the brand) had a 2AA maglight type light with 3 LEDs inset in the end for 19.99. A bit steep on the price. I also saw some interesting incan bulbs, xenon 2D,3D,4D bulbs @ about ~.9A, and xenon bipin 2.4v .45A bulbs for 1.99 a 2 pack.. I may go back and get a few of those to *improve* my few underperforming incans.

I have one of the S&W lights. It has red led's and is very bright. I paid $6 for it at a Remington store.

Hmm. Any xenon bi-pin 3.6V bulbs, maybe over 1A?

Nope, didn't see any 3.6v bipins nor any xenons over .9A in the mix of any type. It would be cool to have a higher output bipin xenon bulb to put in lights alongside LEDs for a mix of throw and flood.

The S&W red LED light is pretty bright...however, I bought 2 of the white LED models about a year ago, and the output was PATHETIC for a "3 banger"! In fact it was slightly LESS than my Infinity Ultra G! Needless to say, they both went back to Academy...

I think 20.00 for a 2AA 3led light is a bit too much money since you can buy a uk4AA 1watt luxeon for the same price just about. I think a lot of these overpriced lights will slowly get pushed out of the market by better cheaper ones in time, but until then stores will sell them to people because of the huge markup they get for them.
