I have been reading posts on this forum, on and off for a long time... maybe years?!

From this forum, I have read about and looked at many flashlights. Along the way, I picked up a Princeton Attitude, Photon I and II's, an Arc AAA, and finally today a G2.

I just wanted to say thanks to a great bunch of members with good advice and a forum that has an excellent search function. It's funny that I have this small infactuation with flashlights. I don't hunt, am not in the military or have anything to do with law enforcement or the medical field. I just like lights and now "EDC" a light.

I don't think I will ever have a "War Bag", but I always wonder if I should stash a piece of rolled up Duct tape somewhere /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif (I actually did on my last vacation to Fiji and my wife gave me a strange look /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif )

Flashlights are Sweet!

This G2 is great just like you all said it was.

That's a good idea. I just wish there was a away to avoid getting sticky stuff residue all over the place.

BTW, I was going to compile a bunch of links about the G2 on the CPF forum, but I found that if you just do a search for "Surefire" or "G2" for the last 10 years you get the same results. Just remember to search the "subject", "Display All Main Posts", and searching in the "*General Flashlight*" forum.

Excellent choice, that's how i started too...... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/clap.gif

Now you should check out the 6P and see how many combo you can get the most lumens out of......How about a 350 lumen light based on the 6P? Tempting?

Every BOB or equivalent should have a roll of duct tape. When the SHTF and you need to hold the world back, I'm sure its adhesive properties might help /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You now need the Z26 ring so you can put your G2 on the keychain.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Congratulations on your new purchase. Always wanted to buy a G2 for myself but somehow never did...

Well, of course, there are probably many members that have several 'better than G2' Surefires... I guess I was thinking of folks that don't have ANY Surefires which would be a shame considering the G2 is available for so little coin.

Back to finding an excuse to buy it.. I'm thinking it makes a very nice spares carrier, two cells and a P60. Yellow and plastic looks non-threatening too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/broke.gif

That's a camera trick picture, just like the guaranteed-to-be-banned 6P with impact bezel /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/clap.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif Kevin,

Flare, firstly: Welcome to cpf! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink2.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Secondly: in an attempt to answer your question, I think maybe a 6p plus two A19's (body extender) and a KT-4 (Millennium series i.e. M3T / M4 / M6) Turbohead with the MN61 350 Lamp Assembly would do the trick... Someone jump in if i'm not right...

sounds about right.....at a price, of cource /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif

essentially you are getting a 6p/z2/m2, 9p.z3.m3, and m4 in the process.
