Hey,

I saw some replacement Dewalt-branded PR-base bulbs in the tool area of my local Home Depot. I believe I saw 9.6v and 12v. That got me thinking that the replacement bulbs for the Dewalt, Ryobi and other lights (the ones that use the same rechargeable batteries for the 9.6V, 14.4V, 18V cordless drills, saws etc) might be of use in a modded M*glite or other overdriven conventional light with multiple cells, AA packs, 123 coversions, etc.

Just food for thought. Some locations might carry different assortments, so keep your eyes open!

Hi Sween,

Thanks for pointing this out. In fact, folks have explored this several times in the past and have found it not to be a very good performing option. Mostly, the large and loopy filament is the culprit.

Yeah, a little more thorough search diggin' pointed this out to me. Thanks for being gentle with me and not cracking me with the "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION" stick /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
