Surefire Clips?

Well, I decided that my L4 didn't need the clip as I'd rather carry it in my pocket than clipped to my pocket.
So, I pushed the clip and little plastic piece out and reassembled the head.
But the O ring then sticks out of the hole that's left.
WTF, I can't use the light without the clip?
Plus, it seems like an awful waste to put an O ring up against an opening where the clip fits.
Any comments?

Lenny this is a well known issue. Before SF made the 'T' piece of black plastic they used a ultra thin plastic type washer above the O ring to prevent the head squashing the O ring out of the gap which the clip occupies.

I'm not sure if there is any neat solution to dumping the clip and maintaining water resistance.......sorry!

i think i might remember someone on CPF saying that there was a replacement thingy that you can put on in place of the clip to maintain the water resistance. try searching the forums, i could be wrong.....

try finding an old e2 (not e2e) body for your KL4 head
it had the clip on the head not the body - so you will have a clipless L4 without an ugly slot in the side
