If you downloaded it via Steam, can't you get it activated and start playing it at midnight? Not sure which time zone though.
Anyhow for initial players, please post your thoughts on the game. I probably won't get around to getting it until this weekend. I'm really, really hoping (unlike Doom 3) it will play ok on less then state of the art machines.
