I read that most CR123a rechargeable Lithium batteries are 3.6 volts as opposed to the throw away version at 3.00 volts.

Will I have any problem in using a rechargeable in the Nuwai G-III. ???

Craig from the LED Museum has tried r123's (unprotected) in his Q-III and it actually gets brighter with one installed. The only catch is that, if they're unprotected, you have to remove the battery the moment the light starts dimming, lest you kill the cell.

You can change to new circuit, BB500 and T bins luxeon. It will make a lot of bright increase 30% more.

As Haesslich said: be careful the unprotect cell will get low volt level. I use to DD li-ion with LuxIII. It is the safy way to operated and it is simply dim out when volt below 2.5 volt.
