I've got 4 of those Turboflare dealies for setting up a temporary LZ in case of an emergency. Anyway, I'd had some car work done so I put them in a bin and tossed them in the back of the truck, and hadn't touched them in months.

Today, I was moving them and flipped them on. 3/4 worked just fine, and the last one would barely light up the battery indicator. I took it inside and opened it up, and I found the digicam batteries I'd "lost" a while ago. Oops. So they're inside thawing out a little, but I really need to know how much damage I've done. After they get warm, can I charge them back up and go from there??

If they're NiMH cells stored months, it's quite reasonable that they've self discharged by now. Naught to do with the weather.....
