I like the new looks, you can see the old one here.

Old on left, new on right (pictures from Brightguy):

hey, the blurb fromthe site states it is REGULATED!

"The TL-2 Luxeon LED flashlight gives up to 1.75 hours of fully regulated maximum intensity light plus 2 additional hours of declining usable light. "

I assume it is still the 1 watt...?

Is that a smooth reflector I see in the picture? If that's true, it would be dissapointing....

Or it could be like the Nuwai ALX-352L, and only be 50% smooth.....only the area at the base of the reflector is sputtered.

With what also appears to be a smooth reflector... hope it's just like that in the picture...

I just picked up one of these. Excellent little light.

Seems more of a utility light, though. I'd like to see it with a clickie tailcap.

I was thinking about getting one of those Streamlight TL-2. Is it very bright? and the light focused or user focusable?

For sure the new one is not focusable. Flashlightreviews.com says that the old one is focusable. If you want that feature then act fast while some of the old ones are still available. I think mag has been putting pressure on other manufacturers to discontinue that feature.

I just got mine on Friday from BRIGHTGUY.
It has it's pluses and minuses over the old model.

It is about an inch longer. It is the bezel that changed.
The LS now has a lot bigger heatsink. It is probably running a bit hotter. It is a little brighter than the old one.
The reflector is only smooth toward the top.
about 60/40 I'd say.
It has a nice tight beam. White also!

The downside is that it does not fit in your pocket as well as the old one. The new bezel size is too big I think.

Other that the bezel being too big, I like it.
