I picked up a new Gerber Ultra, and when I went to install the battery, unscrewing the tailcap, the o-ring came out in two pieces. Anyone know what size o-ring the new Ultra uses?
Source? Yes, I suppose I could spring for postage and try out the Gerber warranty....but, for an o-ring?
I suppose I may be able to mic out the damaged o-ring, if I can find it...

Ditto on that. I asked to buy some of their new thicker o rings for ths sonic, to stiffen up my older CMG sonics, and they said no deal. A bunch of emails to their management, engineering group, et al did not produce any response.

They just don't (and Peak O rings are too thick to work...).

I guess what I need is an O-ring multi pack!
I found what was remaining of the old ring in the basket.
Seems very flimsy for an o-ring, lowest bidder, I guess.
I may mail this whole thing back to Gerber, minus the battery, for less weight. First Class may run $2. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif

Go to your local hardware store. They probably have tons of o-rings. I found one for my Inova X5 once at True Value. It's worth a look, and will cost very little.
