I just got this email from surefire about this light on sale for the holidays. I did a search for the d2-bk, but no hits. Any owners have any comments? Thanks

it's basically a 6P with a clip...it has a lexan lens. i see it's an effort to clear inventory/storage space before something cool comes out...
O yeah, I see no mentioning of a LOTC. does it have one?

Hmm.... my guess was that the D2 was re-released for this Christmas. It was supposed to be an end-of-production model two years ago, so there would have been plenty of time for inventory to dry up.

Yes it does have a LOTC not sure on the lens. Until recently the 6P came with lexan and now it has Pyrex so I would think the D2 would also but I am not sure.
