Wow,

That is one bright LED! But then I had an Osram bulb that made 10,000 lumens out of only 250W /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

No only that, but it is a array. Arrays are only good for a flood beam. It is hard to build a reflector around a array. You could do it with lenses, but that would be a custom setup and complicated with the sizing.

Also, I think this array was discused in another thread.

You can make pencil-thin beams that throw all the way to the horizon with arrays, but the optics are potentially just as costly as the array itself - and far more complex.

Maybe we could power it with 266 cr 123 batteries and use fiber optics to give a spot beam, putting both the battery holder and leds into a back pack you wear or you wheel around. Then you have a hose the light comes out of.
