1 AAA 3-UV "high power" light from Peak. Was told by email last Friday that it would be shipped the next day.

This purchase was from the prototype/closeout page on their site. They didn't specify, but at $22.00, I'm guessing the wavelength is probably 400nm.

Andrew is currently building the nano (non-variable)
but has dropped hints about the vario. See
this page and message 802356 for his latest
on the vario. (That message starts with "11 minutes".)
