?????

The search feature seems to be working fairly well now; you can search by your member number in one or all of the categories, and all your posts will show up-

Okay. This post has been moved here to LED. I found my other post by member number.

But what about the darn LightWaves? On some post I saw beamshots of 3K and 4K against a Luxeon modded Mag and the Lux light light looked WHITE AND much BRIGHTER! while the LW lights had that damn blueish tint.

If Luxeon is what it's going to take to get a white LED light, what am I to do? It's a no-brainer to C mod a D light. Nor is it ANYTHING to change PR based bulbs. But all this heat-sinking and soldering... seems over my head. And as always, cheap figures into the equation.

I think THIS is the post you are looking for.

Top picture = Lightwave 4000(left) v Luxeon Star Direct Drive Mag [3C in 2D](right)

Bottom Picture = Lightwave 3000(left) v LS Mag(right)

See the search function does work (sometimes)

Unfort, there is no magic "bullet" when it comes to brightness/operating time

The formula is:

Brightness X Operating Time = Battery Weight

Longer life is accomplished by lower current drain (lower brightness)
