What would happen if I put my KL6 on my M6 body ?

I was just fooling around this morning and screwed by KL6 LED head on my M6 body. I was afraid to turn it on because the KL6 is used to running on four (4) CR123A cells and the M6 uses Six (6) CR123A cells. Would it damage the KL6 if I used it with the M6 body?

The KL6 works great on the M6. The runtime will increase compared to running it on a L6/M3 or M4.

Doesn't the M6 use 2 parallel banks of 3 CR123s, i.e. is a 9V light, instead of a 18V light (maening all six batteries in series)?

The KL6 will be fine on the M6 body.

The MB20 creates two parallel sets of three SF123A batteries in series giving more punch to the "9 Volts".

It would be good for somebody to post their runtime of the M6+KL6.

Am I reading that chart correctly that the M6/KL6 combo will maintain a 2200 lux output for two hours and fourty minutes? As in.....as bright over two hours later as when it was first turned on with a new set of batteries?
Is that right?

The chart shows runtime in minutes. The KL6 is as bright after about 3 hours & 45 minutes as it was at the start.

the KL6 would work fine with the M6. i think it was 65 lumens for 3-4 hours. i wanted to get one for myself but been spending too much $$ already. even more so since it was christmas.

I consider my photos to be more "useful" than "art" in that they normal show something that is harder to explain by words alone.

However, for detailed SureFire photos you really should credit Mr Shelby Chan!
