I have a very nice white Surefire L1 but I need a bit more output from it on the low setting.

Anyone know if there is a quick and dirty mod to accomplish this?

It isn't that hard and getting the switch apart is pretty self explanatory. All you need to do is replace the existing resistor with another with lower resistance.

If you have a soldering iron and some basic tools, you should be able to do it. When you get the switch open, you'll be surprised at how simple it is.

Thanks, Tony. I was hoping the solution would be something simple like that. I'll probably give it a shot this evening.

Now I'm not sure how to get into the tailcap switch. Does the assembly screw out from the rear of the cap? I've tried to get what looks like a plastic retaining ring to unscrew from the back, but it has resisted my efforts so far.

Thanks,
Chip
