Yeah, I kind of like that size too. If you are good at making your own subC packs, there is an thread about that, Dano did it 1st I believe, and then Ginseng offered a few for sale in his 1st GB along with the AeroNiMH 1/2D's.
I can send you the 852, but it generates so much heat, not sure how well it would work, envelope is too big also. It would be great to find a batterypack that could run/overdrive the 1499, the 1499 would be sweet in that size of light because of its small T1.5 size, relatively high output, decent spot with smaller reflector as the filament is not too wide.
