How come no S/N on U2 heads?

Anyone know why, or care to venture a guess? I've only owned KL1s, KL4s, and the U2. The U2 is the only one without a serial number. I wonder why that is... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

The KLx are accessories. That's likely the reason they have serial numbers. The U2 - It's body, TailCap and Bezel are a single units.

I guess that's one of the reasons.
