There are no 5W red Luxeons.

Lumileds recently announced future production of 3W red/red-orange products, but there's no 5W red.

I don't think it would be feasable to produce a 4x1.25W (5W) red product because of the "inverted pyramid" die design.

As for a red KL4 (which is what's shown on that L4), it's not available in red according to a quick glance at surefire.com .

Anyone else?

Sounds like a modified KL4. Sounds like a regulator change and a LED change. But why? A modded KL1 would be a far better candidate.

I'm tempted to say that it's most likely to have originated from CPF, or a CPF'er, but perhaps we are not alone - someone else has good ideas too?
