$30,000 for one of those machines!

If you can find out what wavelength LED's, you could probably make your own at home.

I say it's a Light Emitting Diode Photo-Scam-modulation System.

from their website -

LED lights use electrons to stimulate gases trapped in the bulbs...

Gases? Nooooo, not in the LEDs, but apparently in the person who wrote that!

Oh yeah..

After you get your "LED Photomodulation" treatment, don't forget to follow that simple 4 step process of:
1: Gentle Cleansing Complex.
2: Daily Moisturizer.
3: Nightly Skin Repair Formula.
4: Daily Defender sunscreen.

The LED's might not work their magic if you forget those.

Yeah, just like the diet pill ads that say "when used in combination with a balanced diet and exercise..."

Re: LED device to treat wrinkles

Ive seen devices that are used to treat pain using IR LEDs, never tried it. I found a TENS unit is fairly cheap and works in most cases. Nothing like running a few hundred volts across an area that bothers you.

Ya know, while the article mentions FDA approval, it mentions absolutely nothing about peer review of the device in medical or science journals.

I'm gonna keep this one on file right next to the X-Ray glasses...

Re: LED device to treat wrinkles

This news item details a device for much less ($200). Discovered by 2 British Doctors, the device was intended to treat cold sores, but users reported how it removed wrinkles around the treated area.

Here is the web site which has all the details

This site has details of the cold sore treatment device, and a link to the clinical research paper

Interesting, although I hesitaate to accept the author's comparison of human cell growth to that of photosynthesis in plants.

Also, from the website -

[ QUOTE ]
...In addition physiotherapists have in the past used infrared light as an anecdote to over exposure to ultraviolet light.

[/ QUOTE ]

They've used IR as an anecdote? Let's see... An IR LED walked into a bar one day...

Later in the same paragraph...

[ QUOTE ]
...light within the infrared spectrum can have bone-fide effects explained by bone-fide science.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bone-fide science? They didn't mention anything about the skeletal system in the article! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
