Xnova clone. The lack of a rim on the chrome nose and the cross-hatch rear shows the light is different. The Xnova AA has vertical slats for the rear knurling.

That is not saying that it is a worse light. It is a different light.

I have two XNovas (1xAA) and one of the XNova clones (1xAA). Based on my samples, the XNovas are much brighter than the clone clones. The clone clones aren't really bad, and most non-flashaholics would likely be happy with them. But on mine, the output was much greener than my greenest XNova and was probably less than half as bright.

On the other hand, one of my XNovas is really flickery until the light is all the way turned on and (ie probably flashes off and on 20 times from the time you put the tailcap on until it is screwed all the way down) and the spring gets turned sideways by the time you put the tailcap on, screw it down and take it back off. The clone clone has no such problems.

Just my experiences. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi Everyone,

I personally don't think the one we carry is of any good quality. Basically, I just don't feel any products in this page: http://www.amondotech.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=458 is good.

They are for kids or for presents to give away. If you are looking for quality LED flashlights, choose these 2 pages:
http://www.amondotech.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=457

http://www.amondotech.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=456

We will have many new LED flashlights coming in the next few months.

Regards,
Wayne

I love an honest company. And AmondoTech was nice enough to give free batteries the to Christmas flashlight giveaway winners that KSBman was doing.

BTW, he mentions having many new flashlight comming... I think 2005 will be the year everyone in America starts thinking about LED flashlights with respect.
