Does anybody know if one can get a replacement lamp for a 1987 vintage Pelican Super SabreLite? Pelican does sell one for the current version of the light, but one has to do a little filing and inward bending of the battery bracket, to make it contact the newly designed module, part number #2004. This module is a one piece assembly with all parts potted together. We both like the faceted reflector on our old lights better than the smooth polished one on the new one.

When Pelican redesigned the lamp/reflector assembly, making it the one piece lamp module that it is today, they apparently didn't check to see if it would fit the old SabreLite lights. The modifications we did make the old light work with the new lamp module with total reliability. We would still like to get our hands on the old lamp, so that we can continue to use the faceted reflector. Any ideas, anyone?
