I'm new here and was wondering if anyone designs or makes their own L.E.D. lamps? I picked up on a simple design at: Jeff's redlamp Headlamp at http://www2.freewebz.com/led_headlamp/ and have been interested in other designs that offer more light but still conserves power. Any ideas? My homepage gives an idea of what I'm working on.

fil---I just completed a headlamp mod. I took a Streamlight WOW and converted it to a white LS with 2x123 batts. Easy mod.
Your website 3 LED headlamp looks very similar to the PT Aurora. PT has a "slightly" more refined switch system, though.
Keep those mods coming, folks.---Marc

That's the first I've heard of Jeff's 1.1oz headlamp. Talk about a minimalist approach. I like it when people think outside the box (or in this case, headlamp).

Checkout the Homemade and Modified Lights section of the Candlepower Forums to see what people are upto. Of course there are many hours of reading if you dig thru the archives.

This thread would likely do better in our Mod forum. We'll move it there.
