This is an amazing light, that has just been sitting indoors since I built it. It is a shortened and over-bored Maglite with a custom 3x123 battery holder made by a member here on the board for me. It's fitted with a 'V' Bin Luxeon V (5 watter) on a hotlips heatsink. It is running direct drive. Never been carried outdoors and is in perfect condition.

The beam can be adjusted so it is nice and tight. It has tremendous throw! The last pic is a comparison between my best SF L4 (Best in brightness and tint) vs this modified mag.

Price is $150 -> $140 -> $135 which includes shipping via USPS First Class with delivery confirmation. Light will be shipped without batteries. I have attached some pictures to give you all a better idea of what the light is like.

Please post here AND PM me if you are interested or have any questions! Thanks!

I must have the plans, a how-to, or a link where to buy one of those adapters.

Hold your horses guys. IIRC 3X123 will only fit in a bored out D size Mag. I believe it's just a tad too big for an unmodified Mag body. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

JimH is correct. This shortened mag was also over-bored (See my original post) in order to fit the 3x123. They will not fit in a stock Mag.

This thing is way cool! I want one, heck I want a dozen. I'll call the bank now and get a loan!

But seriously, this is very nice. If funds were available i'd snatch it up in a sec...as it is I'm fighting the urge to splurge!
